Vlad salutes you

Once again I have survived one of the Grandmother with the Invisible Capes' parties!! Thank goodness that the Vladdette prevailed upon me to leave baby Vlad with my human assistant, being a mother of three (who all miraculously grew to adult-hood despite her ineptness) we decided she was a better option then bringing the little chap along with us......... goood job too. As towards the end of the night things got a little rowdy.
The food was excellent and the caterers will no doubt be very busy from the trade they managed to drum up last night! All tastes were catered for from the very bland to the very grand , vegitarian , carnivore and even those with a taste for the raw and out of date were catered for. The table decorations are worth a mention especially the decorative spider webbs and sprinkled dust that lent an air of class to the whole affair.
We had two bands (playing simultaneously and in different keys) and the Grandmother was so pleased when halfway through the evening they played a selection of her favorite dirges, that certainly liven up the evening and got everyone out of their seats ( or coffins.)
The bar was manned by the fingers that stitch (remember them? ) as they are th only beings in any Universe that could cope fast enough with the speed at which our guests consummed the liquer! They italian side of the Family represented by Julius C. and co was up there with the best of them and certainly held their end up , if not their goblets!
Yes unfortunately the cleaners will have had quite a job today and what went on in the Gardens .....badness only knows....least said the best on that subject.
At 3.15 am we all went outside into the snow and watched a most breathtaking firework display which went on for an hour and a half....a special thanks to Catherine and her wheels. Everyone was in awe of the spetacualar colours and sounds and the OOOOS and AAAAARS resounded. due to the length of the display some of the guests were frozen to the spot and we had to get the flame throwers out to free them ( much quicker and effective than the matches we had to use in the old days) ......... again this delighted the Grandmother!
All in all I believe the evening ( and night) were a horrendous sucess and I think you could say we had a cataclysmic affect on the sorrounding area. Yes you can certainly rest assured that the memory of the Party will live on in the minds of the, human locals for centuries to come.
I have enclosed two more photos of the more prominent and imfamous guests ...... you mere mortals will again have problems decifering them as I explained before.... Imortals and cameras do not mix! .................................. I am most exhausted now and am off to join they others who are already sleeping off the excesses of last night....................
